In-vitro Fertilization
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a highly complex assisted reproduction technique in which the union of the egg and sperm is performed to form embryos in a specialized laboratory, and then transferred into the uterus.
It is considered the main treatment for sterility when other methods of assisted reproduction of low complexity haven’t been successful.
Embryos resulting from the fertilization are placed in the uterus of the patient.
To perform IVF is necessary to use drugs to stimulate ovaries to develop multiple eggs.
